Introduction
Driven by emerging information technologies, such as big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, financial technology (fintech) is showing a booming trend in the digital economy. Integrating different types of digital technologies, fintech helps facilitate mobile payment, financial risk prevention, personalized insurance, robo-advisory, and the development of novel business models in online shopping, online medical care, online education, online working, etc. Fintech is quickly accelerating and evolving in the digital economy, especially in emerging markets. However, fintech has encountered numerous challenges that impact its further development, for instance, insufficient integration with big data and artificial intelligence (AI), lack of blockchain applications, intensified data security and privacy issues, stringent government regulations, and ineffective marketing strategies and tools to attract and retain customers. Against this backdrop, there is a pressing need to explore the socio-technical factors that affect fintech from organizational and personal computing perspectives. Unraveling the inhibiting factors of fintech at organizations and user computing levels will help enterprises, policymakers, and developers find effective technical solutions and strategies to deal with the challenges.

Objective
This special issue aims to solicit and publish high-quality research papers on the trend of fintech development from organizational and personal computing perspectives, disseminate the research results on the socio-technical factors of fintech, and promote the theoretical and practical innovation of fintech in the digital economy.

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on Organizational and Personal Computing for Fintech in the Digital Economy on or before November 30th, 2023. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by another publication. INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL’S GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/. All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis. Papers must follow APA style for reference citations. This is a full open access journal. Authors of manuscripts that are accepted to publish in this special issue will be expected to pay the article processing charge.
