Introduction

Access to information leads to conveniences such as communicating and facilitating daily life and causes traditional and modern technology to be intertwined and technological innovations to increase exponentially. The fact that technology has begun to affect daily life and work routines more and more also reveals new teaching and learning ways and approaches made possible by online resources and educational delivery methods. These approaches encourage people to take on different roles, to share their workloads in new ways, to acquire and use new skills and knowledge. Today, the emergence of technology on a global scale has also begun to be inconspicuous in terms of its use and has become a part of life. With the use of mobile devices, especially smartphones, technology has become almost like an extension of humans. A person's over-reliance on such hand-held devices and constant immersion in technology opens up new ways in which individuals can become addicted. For example; even briefly taking a break from the use of “smartphones” can lead to a number of phobias and anxiety disorders. When it comes to children, this situation gains even more importance and becomes an issue that should be approached sensitively. Despite these harms, the benefits can outweigh the harms if technology is used consciously. When we look at the reflection of technology in education from a positive perspective, while the current business processes in the education system are carried out face-to-face with printed materials, blackboard, printout and printed notes, the education system has interacted more with online platforms thanks to internet resources. Now, bringing digital culture, providing education services in digital environments and actions to increase digital competence have come to the fore. For example, some features stand out with the use of technology in education such as; being more student-centered, being flexible, giving the chance to watch many times, offering more opportunities, making it possible to see different schools, being more cost-effective due to the absence of expenses such as accommodation and transportation, providing more flexible communication, enabling information sharing in the global world. At this point, technology is a current issue that needs to be dealt with its positive and negative aspects.
